What agent could do to change your mind?
Leave the sitting tenant in the property, have a responsible person check out on vacating the property. Be polite and Peter could have questioned Suzanne and not backed her entirel her work was attrocious and he didn't care, all he wanted was our fee. Martins and Co. are a franchise, they openly do not care how their branches handle customers, both landlords and tenants.

We make a huge effort to look after our tenants and landlords so obviously this is an extremely hurtful review to receive. When we as a company pride ourselves on the awards we have won for our commitment to customer service for both landlords and tenants, alike as well as the training we undergo to achieve qualifications to be registered with ARLA where the legalities of renting are learnt and where we are regulated. 1. Been reasonable 2. Been helpful 3. Resolved any query or problem with the Apt within the tennancy or within a reasonalble time frame ie for the leak a day - not 2 weeks 4. Been competent in their procedures when passing details on to third parites

I also have found Mike and Kelly to be especially rude as you say. We find that the phones are never answered as well and when you leave a message for a call back they never ever do. Must have left over 10 messages with not a single reply! ...

There is nothing that Martin & Co can do to change our opinion on them. They have failed so miserably so many times in so many areas that we have to laugh. If not, we would cry. Its amazing that people like this are allowed to run a letting agency unsupervised.

I had exactly the same problems. Mark never responded to my questions in e-mails when I had a complaint. I also had a tenant on HB who didn't pay rent on time, or sometimes at all. They have been reported to the Property Ombudsman due to all the problems they caused, and we are just waiting for the outcome. Totally agree your point! These people probably never been to university and have no idea how student loan works. They would not give you one single extra day and charge you ridiculous amount of money if your payment was delayed. Firstly, they fine you with a "late penalty charge" of 30 pounds, then they charge you 15 pounds each for EVERY call and letter they sent to you in addition to the 2 pounds you'll be paying them per day after the payment day. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed).
