This company is a joke! After taking us on she jetted away on holiday promising someone else would take care of us... we lost 6 viewings! Calls were never returned and now another estate agent sold our property (quickly) they think they are still owed commission! Very unprofessional service everyone avoid these people!!!!...

Where do I start - we were a buyer and Purple Bricks seemed to have no interest in us what so ever, we were chain free as had already sold our property so we were ideal clients. The communication at first when we were negotiating an offer with the seller was fine but once the offer was accepted we didn't hear from PB again until I started chasing them up. Our local property "expert" Steph was just an expert at being rude and patronising, she spoke to me like I was a 16 year old spendin...

'PB are all about the seller and literally don't care about the buyer - clearly they forget if they didn't have a buyer they wouldn't have sold the house' Purple bricks get paid from day one from the loan company, so selling the house is not important to them. If the owner does not sell their property they still have to pay purple bricks, so selling is just in the interests of the home owner. I would recommend on viewings take their number and speak to them directly.....

Felt customer service was lacking as there was no contact from the local property expert. I had to contact her a number of times before I even had a response. Maybe some customer service training would be advantageous to keep prospective buyers in the loop...

Really wish I had put in an offer on a nine purplebricks property! Was 6 weeks almost before my solicitor got a draft contract. Even then they had put the wrong price on (6500 pound more). Now 3.5 months nearly post offer, solicitor is still awaiting responses from the vendors solicitors (blacks) In that time I've completed on my sale and now risk losing early redemption fee (nearly 3000 pound) unless I complete on a purchase soon. Only option is starting to look like withdrawing and sacrif...

I went with PB as they offer on their TV ad a good level of customer service at a very good price. Sadly you get the level of customer service you pay for... Very little. In an 11 month period (due to various drop-outs in the chain) I very rarely had a call returned by PB, I wouldn't use them again. Make sure you are prepared to do A LOT of work if you use these people...

Rubbish website. First I couldn't find the property I was looking for on their site, then it wouldn't let me register, then I tried to leave feedback 3 times on the property we visited but when I pressed submit nothing happened. I am fed up of receiving emails from them requesting feedback, seriously, if they were really that interested, and its been nearly a week since my viewing, they should have tried using the telephone. If I ever needed to sell my house, they would be the last company I wou...

I arranged a viewing to see a flat and took the day off of work to see it. I booked it on the same day the property became live on rightmove. the day before the viewing I noticed it was missing so I called the agent and he said it had been let, but no one had informed me, and I still haven't received any email or anything to cancel. I made a complaint to general enquiries and was told someone will call me back but again they never did. today I look on rightmove and its back on there, is it avail...

Worst experience as a buyer of a Purple Bricks house no one cared about person buying the property hard to get keys handed over no correspondence unhelpful. House I bought was left in a disgusting state with broken items stated ok on property information forms. Very upsetting time bought house 2 weeks still unable to move in complained to purple bricks and the solicitor they use blacks and neither have bothered to reply. Steer well clear if you are unsure definately not recommended....

The estate agent acts for the person selling the house not the buyer. If the house was left in a bad condition, you should take that up with your own solicitor. I would not expect any estate agent to help with that.....

I've had the pleasure of dealing with Steve for two property sales recently and both were dealt with most professionally. He has a wealth of knowledge pertaining to the sale and purchase of property and no request is too much for him. He is always polite, well presented and will go that extra mile to help you. I have no hesitation in recommending this gentleman to help you from start to finish with all property needs, a real expert....

Worst service ever. We signed up after watching the adverts on TV expecting to get an excellent service and support from the local expert and how disappointed were we. The valuation was carried out and the board arrived quickly and then it stopped. No support from the local expert unless we texted him and provoked a response. A low offer was made after two weeks but where was the local expert, on holiday ans no one else on standby to negoiate. After complai ing again eventually someone was put...

I instructed these so called property experts to market my 3 bedroomed house in Aldridge, West Midlands at the end of July 2016 having marketed it with another agent previously (at a higher price...the more you learn the more you know)! Things started...slowly but got a viewing and an offer from the viewer straight away. Great, I thought! They said they were cash buyers so I thought job done...Alas they had a house to sell...with Purplebricks! Time carried on and I had no more viewings. What's ...

Who are these moaners who've entered terrible reviews. Purple Bricks wins on price. I paid £799 as opposed to a minimum £2600. Most buyers shop on line and this is the way forward. It will shake up the industry in the way Specsavers has with opticians. My seller has a traditional estate agent and so in pre and post sale, I have the best of both worlds. Full asking price (which was higher than we expected) was offered after 3 viewing in 5 days. Rob Twining has made himself available ...

There are to many problems with this company to mention here and I ended up going to the Property Ombudsman, so here are a couple. First problem is the company, they do nothing for the fee except list it on the property sites. If you defer the fee then this is where it gets dodgy, Purplebricks.com get paid this fee on the day you instructed them to sell your property, this is paid through a third party (Close Brothers Limited) with an unregulated loan (Not covered by the credit act). So there...

Purple Bricks were efficient at the opening stages of marketing our house through them. We had a few viewings but not a huge amount . I never felt they were pursuing possible buyers and their advertising service is purely online . After we received an offer I found the service to be lacking . No one seemed to do anything unless I specifically requested it , like chasing up whether our buyers had organised surveys etc . I found their recommended conveyancing service EZie conveyancing to be equa...

You also state the following "The fact that a house buying deal for properties costing £900k can be cancelled just like that, with no mediation or advice given to the potential buyer from purplebricks is absolutely shocking and deeply unprofessional . I have made my feelings clear to the Area Manager Richard Elphick that this system , which has left us high and dry , needs to be changed immediately" Do you really think they care, I can almost hear the laughter from here, they are....

I would avoid a house in the future if I saw Purple Bricks was the estate agents. We attended an open house viewing and put in asking price that the seller was asking for. 5 days later we still hadn't received any sort of communication from Tom who was apparently dealing with the sale. We had no idea what was going on - we eventually received an email to say due to the number of offers they had they needed to no what our best offer would be, well because we had given an offer for the asking pric...

We had the first agent over in May, who then disappeared & did not answer calls or emails. 2 months later we had another agent come over. He undervalued by 40k but when I later spoke to him this changed the original quote. He even suggested we ask for 'offers in excess of' at an open day. All good. When I agreed to use them the agent ran through a few things, one of which was the fee. Pay up front or at completion - seems like a no brainer? Well, the agents exact words were 'everyone choos...

I am currently experiencing the same problems with Purple bircks and the agent did not disclosing that if you have defered payment you have to use their Solicitors who charge a ridiculously higher fee which purple bricks takes either a commission or fee from. They despite several calls have not got back to me and we are currently in a limbo situation as all the documentation sent by their appointed overcharing solicitors was incorrect. I have contacted the TV Program Rip of Britain ( and sugges....

A terrible experience from start to finish. At no point was the agent involved in our purchase, from booking the viewing, making the offer through to the actual purchase going through - 6 months later! I believe the lack of input from the agency contributed greatly to the length of time it took for our purchase to exchange and complete. I feel for our seller who paid Purplebricks to sell their house as I can't see they did any more than list it on Rightmove and take their money! If I could have ...

My experience with purplebricks means I would never use nor recommend their service to anyone. Infact entirely the opposite. I made several offers on a property the first time it came on the market and enquired as to the reason twice it relisted with the thought to potentially increase my offer. No one emailed me, called me, or contacted me in anyway. I would have considered further offers, but see the property has again gone under offer. When we buy a btl property we will not be utilising the...

Prestatyn Listing I listed my property with PurpleBricks in January of this year. Unfortunately within 19 days of listing I had a financial issue that was out of my control resulting in me no longer being able to sell. When I reported this to my agent and asked if I could remove my property from the market he informed me I was still liable to pay the full fee of over £850 despite being on the market for less than 3 weeks and completely contradicting my consumer rights. I have worked for a subsidiary of a well known and very reputable company of estate agents for over 13 years and can confirm that "All high street agents...." do NOT charge a 'withdrawal fee' if the vendor decides to take their property off the market Mr Angel. Sweeping statements and incorrect information such as this are not only misleading to potential sellers but potentially detrimental to the overall outcome of their sale. I would strongly urge anyone who is looking for the right ....
