Before I moved in, on the viewing day I noticed the mildew in the toiled so I pointed that to the agent and I was immediately reassured that it will be removed before I move in, also the carpets was not hovered (You could see lumps of dust in the corners) and there was litter in the bedroom . Another problem was the oven- it broke 1 month before I left the property and during that month a technician has come 3 times and tried to repair the oven but without a success. 1 month after I moved out of the house, I contacted the present tenants to check if there was any mail left; I used this opportunity to ask whether the oven has been repaired, but I was soon to learn that it has not been. The man called Tim responsible for the house, "self-employed" as he explained every time I had a displeasure of talking to him was rude and lied to me that he "attempted" contacting me leaving voice mails about the deposit. The problem was that I never had a missed call from him or received above mentioned voice mails as these are not activated on my phone. I have left the house on the 31st of August and was told that the deposit is going to be returned within 28 days, today 28th of September, the deposit is still not returned. Between those two dates on the 16th of September I was contacted by the mentioned above Tim that the bank details were missing from their records and they are unable to process the transfer (even though I provided those details on the day that I have left the house). I had to bother myself to go to the agency to make sure that it is there (written in by my hand). It is a pity that we learn how bad the company is afterwards, with devastating results, I would strongly suggest if anyone has a problem with them- contact the citizen advise bureau or if You are a student- the student union and show Your case to them. I cannot understand how this company is still running and has not been brought to justice.
What agent could do to change your mind?
I just want my deposit back and never hear or see the \"McGeowns\" name again.
