Years ago I had 2 bad experiences with 2 different agency so have been privet renting ever since, My self and my partner had something very specific in mind about the place we wanted to live in next, we didn't just want a tiny flat but a place that could be a real home. We came across a cottage online that I fell in love with instantly. It worried me that it would mean using an agency again to get the property, I called Platinum and spoke with a lovely young lady called Mariana, she was friendly and just the right amount of encouraging, I took a big risk and put a holding deposit down over the phone with her as I didn't want to chance anyone else getting it before me. Even though for all intent and purpose Mariana had already secured our business she treated us as though she would still like to Win it. She and Guy later gave us a tour of the property and between the treatment we got from them and the Cottage itself I was glad I took the risk.
I'm not a patient person and was having some trouble dealing with my (at the time) current Landlord, this made me a little nervous and became a bit of a pain in the bum. Again, Mariana and her colleges treated me with nothing but friendliness and respect. A few days before moving in, the people moving out of the cottage come up against an issue that may have meant they needed a little more time. This is when Dawn stepped in, she manages my fears and expectations perfectly (did I say I'm not a patient person and was already a little worried) She took care of everything and within less than 24 hours we were back on track.
Marco did our check in and my partner and I really took a shine to him, what a really nice person, he even won my dad over! He took his time over the check in, and took down everything, any time one of us said "what about xyz" he'd already had it on his list. I felt we really got our moneys worth and that Marco was looking out for both us and the landlady.
I spoke with David in the afternoon of the day I moved in, this was my first and only dealing with him, I found him to be as professional as the other. He heard my issue and suggested an initial solution and made sure I would get back in touch should the it not be effective.
I also wanted to mention, that although my partner and I make more than enough money to pass the reference and credit check, I'm on a long term contract and thus am not permanent at my place of employment. This meant having to get a guarantor, we asked my partners parents who were happy to do this and of all the good service we for from Platinum how they handles this is top on my list of reasons why I would recommend them to others. Not once did they make us feel that the fact we needed a guarantor was anything but normal.
