Hi Dee, I am a landlord and was in a simular position as you. My advise would be to firstly request all your relevant documentaion, ie tenancy agreements/tenant statements and terms of business(signed by both parties) you may well find that they cannot produce these as they are, as i can assure you hopeless at admin details. If they cannot produce these then that gives you a better possition to terminate contracts with this useless letting agent. Good luck Mark (Blackburn) ...

Thankfully I wont be moving into a property to rent with them as even before they had my money they were clearly not bothered to make an effort. The property that I was interested in, I viewed and then they put the rent up all within an hour. It was a property they had bought on a "Right to Buy Scheme" here in Preston so they will have got it at a an amazingly cheap price currently they want £400 for it a month, no outside space and the area isnt great. I was then viewing another property with ...

Very unprofessional. Called them for a valuation and they advised a price, but offers exceeding, not offers based on which is what we wanted. Rediculously long contrat of 26 weeks and an equally rediculous quote for an EPC of ‚£118 when they are available for ‚£35. Said we would think about it and over the next week recieved on average TWO PHONE CALLS A DAY pestering for the sale. Finally the receptionist called and said they had a good offer of 1% commissio for a limited time and asked us to call back. When we did it turned out not to be true as it didn't relate to our property and they couldn't even remember how much they valued ours for anyway. The worst estate agent we have ever dealt with. Pushy, unprofessional, un-caring and very expensive and no real proof of being any better than the competition. Suspect the sales team are on commission relating to how many properties they can get on the books,- not how many they can sell. Said they were a little more expensive than others as they give good personal service. I dont think so.

I'm having a terrible time with these people myself at the moment, my house was vacated by our tennants on the 24th oct which i was unaware of. It was left sitting empty for 6 days during which time it was broken into, kitchen destroyed, back door in pieces, pipework stolen etc... I phoned to let them know of the situation they said they knew it had been empty since the 24th but it wasn't their responsibility for it as it's not their policy to tell land lords ASAP when their house is empty (6 da ...
