We purchased a property from Helmores.
In the early stages, they were very helpful in providing information about properties which might be suitable for us. The information on the website and in the brochures was clear and well presented on the whole, and they provided lots of useful background about the locality and particular properties which helped us make our final choice. We were moving to Devon from the Midlands so the local context provided by the Crediton office was especially important to us.
Viewings were arranged promptly and once we had our property, our main contact was with James Fyfe. He was very sensitive to our needs and circumstances,His communication via phone and email waspunctual excellent and his whole approach was courteous and efficient. He was excellent in liaising with the vendor on our behalf and facilitated visits by the surveyor and contractors to our potential property.
We were impressed by the friendly and courteous approach shown by all the staff we had contact with. Sue Finnamore was another of our contacts and she was always very friendly, helpful and reassuring.

Covid 19 struck the UK in March 2020, the initial damp was reported in January 2019, and it took till October 2019 to carry out any inspection. A report was passed to Helmores shortly after this in early November 2019. Sadly, the landlords wife did pass also in March 2020. So both incidents you mentioned occurred 14 months after the damp was raised & 5 months after the report.
