Thank god that letting fees have been banned by the government. My experience renting with Breckon and Breckon was really awful and I just felt the whole thing was aimed at pleasing the owners and abusing the tenants (despite the fact that we were also paying customers).

If you rent with B&B (sometimes you can't pick the agents and just have to go where you can, I realise that), then use your inventory as a bible and make sure they record every scratch and scrape when you move in. Because they'll try to fleece you if something's not on there.

The staff were very friendly, and some of them I believe were genuinely good people. But as an organisation, I do not trust Breckon & Breckon with a single atom of my being.
Comment on agent fees
I felt I received absolutely nothing in exchange for the agent fees I paid. In no other walk of life does a paying customer or client get treated like this and I hate to think what tenants will receive from Breckon and Breckon once fees are banned.

High fees, though probably standard for the area - it is particularly unreasonable to keep increasing the renewal fee and they should never try and charge for deposit protection. Can't wait until these fees are banned in England.

What agent could do to change your mind?
I have to pay for a light bulb to be changed, for the cleaning and for the rent between me moving out and the next people moving in and maybe all this wouldnt be too bad if it wasnt for the fact that I already paid 1250 pounds!
