The staff here are unresponsive and unhelpful. When my flat mate and myself went to view the property it needed a general tidy up and painting. They assured us this would be down before we moved in. The day we moved in the sofas where in the bedrooms, and the place unpainted with water stains where a pipe had burst the year before.
After ringing them up and telling them that the flat was not ready for use. They said they would send painters around the next day but left it up to us to move the sofa into the correct room. Which was not easy at all. And took three people to do it.
We later discovered that the flat had a major problem with black mould. And was in such poor condition that we had to have a dehumidifier on everyday. The mould grew in every room which consisted of two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and bathroom. I emailed them, and rung them to complain about the mould and to get something done about it. They never replied to the email. But sent a surveyor out after going to them in person. He simply told us that we needed to open the Windows more and it would go away. So we did as we were told even though it would not work. Th mould started to affect the health of both of us and throughout persistent we finally got them to paint o we it after living there for six months. This helped for couple of months but then it cAme back and they blame us.
They did not give me back the full deposit even though I left the flat cleaner than I moved in. They are trying to blame me for the black mould that has been a problem in that flat for years, as you can see the layers of it through the paint.
I am not impressed with them and would warn anyone off using them ever. A terrible company and the accommodation they provide shows it.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Actually listen to serious complaints, do what you say you are going to do. And don't think just because you deal with students that you have the upper hand. We are not stupid!
