Absolutely disgraceful!!!, a useless billing system, no one, and I mean no one, including accountants can make head nor tale of the bills they send, we believe they rely on this to incorporate hidden charges, not relating to our properties. There are many terrible incidents with Ross and Liddell, a common one with them in our development is this, a lock on a main door was broken, this door with the lock is shared by 9 flats in the block, they sent out a locksmith who replaced the lock and issued keys to the 9 flats involved the total cost split evenly between the flats was about £200.00, so about £22.00 - £25.00 each flat, fair enough. Less than 1 month later the lock which was replaced new, broke again, so they sent out the same guy who replaced it, and then charged us all again?? we said no! there must be a warranty involved we're not paying agin, they went ahead and fixed it anyway and billed us all again, so we have now been billed twice, saying we had to pay, however this time the lock was replaced you had to turn the key in the opposite direction from what you would normally turn a key to open the door, and also the whole lock was a brass colour and did not match the silver handles, push plates, hinges etc already on the door, less than 2 months down the line, it broke again and out they sent the same guy and charged us all again! for the lock, so now we had been charged 3 times for a lock, total cost £600.00 between the 9 flats!
Many of us refused to pay and then they sent out sheriff officers, and we had to go to court where it was resolved, we didn't pay but the process took ages and we had to give up our time to go to court to fight it. They are many rip - off incidents that ross and liddell use just like this, £180.00 to change a light bulb in the stair appears often on our bills and when we call to say there was no bulb out they reply with that is because we were quick to change them!! absolute crap.
We recently sacked them for all this nonsense and to top the whole thing off, there are exeptionaly rude and unhelpful on the phone, i talked to one of their directors Irene Divanny as we were getting no where with a problem, she told me she wasn't prepared to help and when i threatened to get residents names gathered to sack them she told me - best of british to you, many have tried, and hung the phone up!
Well i did get the names no problem and less that 6 months from that call we sacked them!
