Myself and my girlfriend firstly put too much trust in Goadsby. I asked for a flat where I could get a permit for parking as I am in the Royal Marines and use a military vehicle to get to and from work. The third day being in this flat the two of us went to the council to apply for a permit and were very quickly told that we were NOT going to get one, as the flat we are living in is exempt from getting parking permits as it was originally a house and converted into three flats, in doing so, all parking permits, resident or visitor, have been forfitted the right to any permits. I phoned Goadsby and explained the situation to a young girl, who told me that she was the only member of staff in the office and I would have to wait for the following Monday to speak to someone about it. I knew that she was lying and decided to drive to the office to confront her. I walked in and there were five agents, all at their desks. I said to the young girl that I was the person that had phoned her 10 minutes ago and asked her why she had lied outright to a customer. She looked absolutely stunned and just looked down at her desk. The manager then came down and spoke to me and I explained the situation to her and told her that I had got a parking fine. I said to her that I had specifically asked for a property where I could park my vehicle, as I need eyes on it. She said that she would look into the situation and get back to me on Monday. Monday arrived and I went in and she showed me the e mail she had drafted, explaining that she had spoken to Amy, the estate agent that Ishowed us the property and dealt with all the signing etc and that she could re call me asking for a property with parking. I am absolutely disgusted with Goadsby as they seem to have no integrity what so ever. There are so many problems with the propert eg microwave not working, stains on the wall, mould in our bedroom and bathroom. All of these things would be fixed and sorted we were told, within one month of us living in the property. Stupidly, I signed the contract, trusting that these would be fixed and they would stand bu their word! I have phoned on numerous occasions and been told that they would get sorted. Nothing yet and I am definitely not holding my breath. I have contacted the landlord and we have set two meetings up to which he has not pitched and not even had the courtesy to phone and cancel. I am at a deadend and truly do not know what to do? This is the first property we have lived in and it is causing so much stress for my girlfriend and I. Goadsby know that I live on base most of the time and my girlfriend is here on her own. They have not done one thing to help either of us and have not kept their word. I\'m fighting a losing battle and regret dealing with them. It is the biggest mistake I have ever made! A word of warning to all you reading this. Stay as far away as possible from them and if you do decide to go with them, please, for your own sake do not do what I did and sign before getting everything sorted in the property. Verbal agreements mean nothing to them, so make sure you have everything, I mean everything in writing! They have no integrity what so ever.
What agent could do to change your mind?
They could have integrity and help, like we agreed. They have caused me so much hassle and am on the brink of breaking up my relationship through arguments due to all the stress of this.
