Do not trust Bradleys Exeter - I would never recommend Bradleys to anyone, although they don't act illegally, they are certainly immoral!!! We told Robin at Bradleys that we had an offer on our property and that we were just trying to negotiate a little more. While in this process Robin then informed us that there was another offer in on the property we wanted to purchase. We advised Robin that we had 2 additional viewings booked on our property but if nothing was successful that we would accept the offer we had & proceed with the purchase. Robin then categorically told us he would do nothing without speaking to us first - then whilst we were negotiating & sorting to proceed he was recommending the other buyer to the vendor & closing the deal. His response was that he was acting for his client - although I appreciate that, he lied to us & gave us false belief that he would let us know any other developments. Instead he was the reason we lost our dream home. After raising a formal complaint he then told us the property wasn't being sold through a public sale but had been sold to the vendors cousin - don't believe anything he says!!!!

Dear Kai, I am still very disappointed. The truth of the matter is that I was told by Robin that he would do nothing without speaking to me first - he didn't keep his word that makes it a lie. As I said I totally understand that other people were interested in the property - I also totally understand that he had no responsibility to me as a potential buyer but I do also understand the meaning of what he said. I can really say no more than that - it is awful treatment and I would not ever use or trust Bradleys Estate Agents nor recommend them to anyone. Jun 24, 2019
Dear Marie, we are sorry to hear you are disappointed with the service you have received as we take our service standards extremely seriously. Having looked over the file, it is very clear that there were several parties interested in the property and it appears you were kept informed as to the other interest. The fact is that we cannot determine who a property should be sold to and therefore we must act on the seller's instructions, this was indeed the case in this instance. The information provided was indeed the truth and so it seems somewhat unfair to suggest Robin was lying. Moving home is stressful and we understand the frustration at not being able to buy a home that you like and we would like to wish you the best with your move.
