I had to chase for everything...my email address was wrong so I wasn't receiving viewing details. Michael promised three times to amend this and in the end I called the office and a colleague did it in 30 seconds for me.
Michael told me two viewings were scheduled for a Friday. When I chased for more info the day before they were due he assured me that they were happening and would provide specific details first thing in the morning. When he rang he confessed that neither was in the diary. I'd spent ages tidying the house for nothing (although it is nice to have a clean house!).
I had numerous viewings over the three months Horts marketed my property but the feedback for all ofthem was absolutely identical - "they like it but they haven't sold yet." It may have been the same for each buyer but it did feel like a copy and paste job.
When I went on holiday I advised when viewings couldn't take place and Michael said he would let colleagues know. He didn't. I received two calls during my break and a colleague had to step in to update my details instead.
One viewing was conducted by myself but not by choice. Michael left a family with two very small children out in the sweltering heat. He did not contact me to let me know he was running late. He was a whole half an hour behind schedule.
Nothing was Michael's fault, he told the family he'd left on the doorstep that he had got the times wrong. The family said this was odd given the viewing had only been scheduled the day before. When they left, Michael confided in me that he had lied to the prospective buyers. He said he had been held up at a previous viewing but felt the lie sounded better. For me, it made me trust him less.
When I asked him to withdraw my property from sale, it took over a week of chasing to get him to take it down from Rightmove and almost three weeks of chasing to return my key.
Never again!
