Appalling. I applied to rent a property and was told to instantly send the fees for referencing by credit card. I got a call the next morning to say I didn't reach the requirements for the landlord as I had 4 children. Was upset that they didn't check this out before taking payment. Anyhow I made it clear that I needed the money sent back ASAP as I would need it to apply to other agents they said I would be refunded the £240 within a couple of days . A week passed and still nothing. I was then told it had been done and give it a couple more days .This has gone on for 3 weeks now and I've still not been refunded and continue to be fobbed off. Most bank transfers or refunds to cards take 1 or 2 days so can't see why they are struggling to hand my money back ?..Terrible service, lies, terrible staff, and bad communication.... Do not use!

I have to agree with this, unless you have a mortgage with them then they don't even let you view properties. This means sellers miss out on the best offer and buyers miss out on a dream home.
The branch never opens on time and the staff can't be bothered to even look at you if you enter the shop.

Comment on agent fees
I feel that value for money has sometimes been questionable with the contractors that BE use to repair the property. I would prefer if there were at least three quotes generated and the property owner could choose the preferred quotation.
