As you would have heard from the recorded announcement when you called our office, all of our calls are recorded for training purposes. We have therefore listened to your call, and have to disagree that the staff member who took your call was rude, uninterested and lackadaisical. The young lady that answered your call was actually on her first day here at Oliver Jaques, and understandably got a little flustered, but on listening back to the call she was not at any point rude to you, nor was she uninterested or lackadaisical. A first day in a new job for an 18 year old can be a very daunting experience, and I am sure you will agree, we have all been that position at some point.
Ideally an untrained staff member would never be answering the call on their first day, however we were exceptionally busy on the day you called receiving a higher than normal volume of calls, which is why she took the call. You were placed on hold so the staff member could check the fees with another colleague, apologies if you felt you were on hold too long, but I can assure you it is only because the staff member was trying her best to help you. We appreciate that you felt you would not consider using Oliver Jaques again, but we ask that you do not judge us on that one off experience.
