I can't quite express the dissatisfaction we've experienced with Hobdens. Unbelievably unresponsive, uncooperative and unprofessional. We spent over a year trying to get hold of them with constant phone calls and emails. We were consistently fobbed off with excuses and went countless times without a response. Anyone considering using Hobdens I'd absolutely discourage so you don't have to experience the stress we've been through. I'm not one to leave a bad review and never have done until now however I felt so strongly that I needed to warn others about our experience so they don't go through the same. Our Berkley home has been absolutely fantastic and the only issue we have seen has been Hobdens involvement. I will certainly be informing Berkley of our opinion.

This managing agent is absolutely unbelievable. We requested details of our service charges of which they’ve put completely illegitimate charges for things that we don’t even have like cleaning and electricity. The electricity gets charged to our own personal meters as leaseholders. I have walls falling down with dust and black mould everywhere and I have cancer and I have very serious lung issues and they’ve done absolutely nothing. They do not care that I’m living in a place that was actually condemned by insurance !! They have Put many spurious charges in our service charge which when we asked for confirmation of what these charges are they will not tell us, yet they threaten us with legal action because we’re not paying our service charge in full. We all have money so that’s not the issue. We’ve also been clear we want to pay. But we need some answers and they won’t give them to us. They are bullies. Worst Managing Agent I have ever come across in my entire life and I’m over 60 years old. They have a duty of care which day are completely ignoring. They’re operating illegally making charges which are lies. Anyone out there that wants a class action case against them? I’m currently going to court to get them removed

I think we'll absolutely have to agree to strongly disagree in this matter! The whole issue for us was the lack of unbelievable responsive from the company, genuinely never experienced anything quite like it. I see many people have commented that they have found the exact same issue so perhaps something you need to address.

Dear Alice, as you know I have discussed your issue at length with your partner and I have explained the reasons why we have arrived at the decision that we have regarding your complaint. You will hopefully appreciate that an important part of our role as a managing agent is collecting Service Charges from owners in a timely manner in order that the development can be maintained to a high standard. I am sorry that you experienced some delay in us responding and would apologise for this, although that is I believe a separate matter to the crux of the issue.

As commented on other sites where this individual has left a review, there is another side to the story with this vehicle, which is parked in an allocated parking bay and is registered SORN. SOS represents many disgruntled owners at Marine Court, not one person as you imply. Since Hobdens joined THERE HAVE BEEN NO IMPROVEMENTS WHATSOEVER. In fact, the communication is the worst it's ever been with no responses to resident concerns or enquiries, it's like contacting a brick wall. Hi Helen I have only just seen your comments as we did not get any notification about your post. I don’t know which property you live at so it is difficult to comment fully but please understand that the final decision on budgets rests with the RMC so it isn’t a case of us allowing the Service Charge to be too low. Regarding the noise complaints these can sometimes be difficult to resolve without legal action and it sounds like such action may be disproportionate in this case. If howeve ...

the agent needs to stop making false promises and start for filling there duties they are paid a lot of money for nothing.

I have to laugh when they say they bet all of their contractors. They have sent absolute Cowboys out to our property when I asked who they were they said they didn’t know they’ve never used them before. They do not vote the people they send out at all. I’m going to do a full complaint where everyone can see what we’ve been through but I just had to make a comment on that ...
