I used Hannells services as a landlord and can say that I have found my recent interactions with them terrible. I noticed a change in attitude/service as soon as I independently found my own tenants and my simple questions were either being ignored on email or answered with an answer for a question I hadn't asked. When they were asked to create a contract I was sent multiple contracts with errors by Hollie Clayton, I paid a fee of 150 for an inventory and checkout, the checkout was agreed for a date and time with keys given to Hanenells. In readiness for my new tenants I booked all other work around this date. I received no notification or cancellation of checkout and entered the property in the afternoon to be told I had now made checkout void! I received an insincere apology whilst being told I shouldn't have entered my own house! Which followed with part refund of 80.00. I requested for my keys back with Hannells knowing I had tenants moving in on the Friday and the checkout lady has still not posted my keys (she has all keys). My tenants are sat outside the house the waiting for the Hannells to give us OUR keys to OUR house. When I call to complain I am told by Jenna Dolman she is the manager and given no formal complaints option after asking for one.
The least I would have expected is a sincere apology with a full refund due to the mess that's been made and my keys returned on Thursday evening at the latest. I would like to add not all agents are such at Hannells as I have worked with some lovely ones but my experience with those mentioned has been negative. They don't like to take responsibility for their errors but are quick to get defensive and blame the landlord, forgetting that we are their customers not employees.
