I am in the process of a lengthy battle between move with us and my solicitor. I have incurred massive search fees that cos in excess of £400 when it should have been approx £200 from other solicitors within my local area . I have both parties blaming each other and I'm left with paying the deficit.

I have had to start seeking independent advise as I can no longer rely on the information received from move with us parties including the solicitor. It's become an absolute farce and I'm paying nearly £2k for the hassle to ensure my pay purchase and sale actually go ahead.

If you use this company, please look at their costs for searches. It's only through painstaking checking of local authorities and compiling together a cost of what you should actually pay. I'm not sure the company are charging fairly, however state they are using a private firm and don't set the fees.

My next steps after this whole debacle is competed, is to make a complaint to legal and financial ombudsman to ensure that they are acting appropriately with those who use their services. I do believe that as a ley person to these processes that the information I am given I should be able to trust. Move with us have just expressed in a conversation that I agreed to their charges which they have expressed a number of times, but they do not tell you that costs are more by using their service. Information should transparent and where you are paying extra this should be fully explained.

Please take care when using this service, It may seem easy just to be referred by an agent however it isn't worth the long term costs and stress. P,ease take time to consult local solicitors and ensure you know all your costs upfront.

For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
