i booked a viewing of a property for my mother. I rang the office to check the agent was actually coming as there was no sing of her at the arranged time. She arrived 10 mins late without the keys, having forgotten them at the office from where she had just come. After a further 15mins wait for her to retrieve the keys from the office, she arrived with the wrong key thus we were unable to view the property despite time taken off work and a long journey to get there. The agent was nonchalant, not particularly apologetic and not very accommodating in making alternative arrangements. We eventually agreed a future date but by the time we arrived home she had already rung to alter this. Don't deal with them, they are totally unprofessional. The market is awash with properties for sale, I shall take my business elsewhere in the hope of being treated with some respect and professionalism.
What agent could do to change your mind?
She could have done her job properly, one would have thought remembering the keys to a property was pretty fundamental to the job she does. She could have apologised profusely and arranged for somebody else from the office to bring an alternative key. She had no regard for where we had travelled from and indeed asked no questions which displayed a total lack of interest in the client. She also asked me how much the property was selling for. Absolutely appalling.
