I recently viewed the same property twice, and subsequently put in an offer, which was rejected by the vendor. When Mr. Staff rang to tell me this, he curtly informed me that the vendor would accept no less than a certain price, adding that there was no use in me adding £2,000 or £3,000 to my offer. He said (again in a curt manner) that if I wanted to come back with a revised offer, I should do so that day, as the vendor had a couple more viewings lined up. I did go back the same day with a revised offer, but he was out of the office. I was told that he would be told of my revised offer, and would subsequently put this to the vendor, as you would expect! However, this revised offer was made on Wednesday afternoon, and it is now Saturday afternoon, and I've had not so much as a courtesy call from him/them, letting me know whether the offer was accepted or rejected - I assume the latter. If I needed an estate agent in the future, I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole, nor would I recommend them to anyone. Common courtesy needs to be learned by them.
