Landlords should be aware that Belvoir does not provide the protection that you expect from such a big name. The Offices are run by franchisees as individual Limited Companies and therefore,as I discovered too late, when the franchisee changes hands, there is a great ...

What agent could do to change your mind?
Belvoir Lettings could have held accurate records of tenants deposits. Instead, the deposits were not recorded and not registered with the appropriate scheme. Belvoir should also be aware of transactions carried out by there franchisees and also take responsibility when something does go wrong with one of their offices. Landlords are lead to believe that they are backed by the name 'Belvoir' when really there is no backing, the offices are just individuals trading as Limited Companies and if anything does go wrong landlords recieve no help from the umbrella of Belvoir.

What agent could do to change your mind?
I would be really happy if Belvoir could give us back the deposit that they have been holding and collecting interest on since 2007, which I have had to pay the tenant back myself.
