Hovepark lettings are everything a proper moral agency should not be, they are rude(Megan) and simply do not care about their tenenants. I had rented previously with this agency for approx 2 years through a private landlord, things went ok and being on benefits myself always paid up to date with the £80 a month short fall expected of me although being a single mum on my own and out of work was alot to ask. I did however have issues such as a broken toilet which was un usable, but hey didn't bother them as I had the use of another in the en suite provided, I phoned numerious times regarding this as well as mentioning it every time I was in the office paying my rent to them, always told that there would be someone out to fix it. That someone never appeared, not until 3 weeks before i was due to leave, when they had notice of my leaving. Unfortunatly I couldn't afford to live there, so Hovepark helped me pick somewhere more suitable to my needs, lower rent and closer to mum and family, on first inspection the house looked good, nothing wrong with it although they had specified many things regarding the previous tenant, ie, how filthy she was and how it had taken them so long to get the property ready for lease due her being so................................, well lets just say for modesty I will refraim from sayin how certain empolyees of Hovepark described her. Anyway I moved in to the property with great expectations that this would be my home for a long time to come. Straight away i had problems, it was October the cold was coming, my boy was only 4 yrs old, no heating or hot water, i contacted them straight away as this is unacceptable and I was told that they knew of this as" Chris" had been in to check and had reported it but they hadn't bothered to fix it knowing I was moving in. They made no attempt to fix this problem for weeks and also they made no attempt with British Gas to fix the debt of well over a £1000 on the pre pay meter outside which i was paying, so not only was I getting no Gas but when they finally after many weeks sent an engineer out to temporaliy fix it. It was working for a short time. I soon discovered that I was paying a fortune for someone else. Hovepark's response"not our problem, nothing to do with us, thats down to British Gas". Unfortunatly things have gone from bad to worse with Hovepark, after finally sorting things with BG, the heating broke again, me and my boy have had no heating or hot water for months in winter again, i sick of constantly complaining on deaf ears, Everytime you call they claim to nothing of your previous call even although they only have about 4 workers in office, they are rude(Megan) and have an answer for everything u put to them. I have at the moment a broken tap in kitchen, electrics that I am scared to touch(one lady Avril was out and i notified her in person) she hasn't bothered to notify anyone else it seems(or maybe she has, who no's, no one cares
in that office unless it's about money grabbing). door on its side, TV not working due to the shit work carried by them before, slugs crawling across my carpet and upstairs, mould everywhere in my boys bedroom that he can no longer sleep in, mice, etc,etc, the list goes on. They have forced be to depression and stress that i have never known before, they assured my problems with repairs previous was all down to the landlord and seen as that they OWN THEMSELVES THIS PROPERTY, I would never even have to wait for a repair being done. WHAT A JOKE. they are cowboys. please anyone thinking of taking a house with this disgusting immoral bunch of cretains,PLEASE DONT

I am interested in a property they are advertising and have emailed on multiple occasions and also phoned and left messages but no-one has responded to me. I imagine landlords are thrilled that they are missing out on potential tenants income....

Hovepark are the LAZIEST BUNCH of money grabbing "*" i have ever come across in my life! You can literally walk into the front of the office when there is nobody at the front desk and listen to them bitch about their tenants behind the screen! So, you as a landlord, are a fool to think that your property is in good hands, because they do not give a flying ****! What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent should have stipulated that their clients were not accepting people of my age. This would have saved me forking out money for a taxi to go to the viewing. The agents should have called me immediately on hearing that their client had rejected me. They should have given me a receipt for my holding fee.

Hovepark are acting illegally by taking a "holding fee" from you. Contact Shelter to find out the full information on the action that can be taken against hovepark in this instance. I found this out because hove park haven't registered my deposit with the tenancy deposit scheme! And Ive been waiting over 3 months! They are legally obliged to register your deposit within 30 working days! ...
