Pat Robson were despicable from day one. They turned up late to every viewing we arranged with them, and never offered an apology. When we moved in, the flat was in a state and we had to spend two full days cleaning it, you could barely see out of the windows they were so dirty, and we washed down all of the wooden surfaces/inside the oven/had the carpets professionally cleaned. Things continued to go wrong after this.
We wanted to know if we were able to do some paint work as the skirting boards were majorly chipped, and asked Pat Robson to contact the landlord to ask if this would be okay. They told us the landlord had died, and that his wife was grieving his death. This was COMPLETELY untrue. He was alive and well, they just couldn\'t be bothered to contact him regarding this. When we raised this later, the member of staff concerned burst out laughing (I hardly think it\'s funny to pretend someone is dead to get out of doing your job?).
The first month we received an email claiming we\'d missed our first months rent (having set up a direct debit with them in the office when they were present) and it then turned out that they hadn\'t done the appropriate filing for this to happen (no apology).
Every problem we had, we had to call 4 or 5 different times to get them to even consider sorting it out. The bathroom was covered in black mould, as was all of the woodwork on the windows and the back wall of the bedroom. The main problem was that they would turn up without any notice whatsoever. They are legally required to give notice, however on FOUR different occasions they didn\'t, and even entered the property once whilst my girlfriend was in the shower. Obviously having a man turn up at your house without notice is distressing, especially in such a situation as this.
After all of the terrible service we had received in the time we lived there, when it came to moving out Pat Robson charged us £75 for \'cleaning\'. Bearing in mind we spent two full days getting the property to an appropriate standard when we moved in, it was 10x cleaner when we left it. We wrote to the company director however he said this was out of his hands. When we took this to the property resolutions, we lost our case because Pat Robson miraculously materialised some photographs of "when we had moved in". We are yet to see these photographs. For all I know they could have been taken after we had moved out, because despite our attempts to see the photos, we were ignored.
The members of staff ganged up on us, called us liars and the day we checked out they refused to speak to us in the most childish manner, after having turned up 45 minutes late and LYING about having left the office (5 minutes from the property) twenty minutes previous, when we\'d been on the phone to the receptionist at the time they were leaving the office.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are quite frankly despicable and I\'m shocked and upset that they are allowed to operate in this atrocious manner and get away with it time after time.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Absolutely nothing. They are despicable.
