Unfortunately due to the volume of calls that we receive we may not be able to answer each call immediately. However, if you leave a message for the relevant team we will always make every effort to call you back as soon as possible.
As you are aware the leak is from a neighbouring property situated above your own. We have previously been in contact with the local Environmental Health team directly, in efforts to contact the owner of the property above to ensure that the problem is resolved within a reasonable time frame.
As the leak originates in a neighbouring property, we are unable to arrange for the repair as it is the responsibility of the owner of this property. We have however been in contact with the neighbour to urge them repair the problem as a priority, but as previously discussed they have been unable to identify the source of the leak.
When we met in the office on Friday, we discussed the next steps that would be taken dependent on how the situation unfolded over the weekend. We had agreed you would to inform us if any further water comes in on Saturday or Sunday and whether the owner of the above property could identify the source at the time of the leak. With regards to the mould mites, a pest control company has recently treated the carpets and will do so again where necessary. Once the issue is resolved we will look at the repairs and/or decoration needed to your property.
We will be in touch again later today to discuss the outcome of our conversation with the landlord regarding any offers for rent refund, and further action that will now be taken.
