Just a terrible experience from start to finish. We were desperate for a place at short notice so took the flat,.

We were told by Londonwide that the flat would be professionally cleaned, but when we moved in, this evidently hadn\'t happened. The whole place was dirty, dust everywhere, food in the fridge and mildew on all the bathroom fittings. Posters were left on the wall despite us being expressedly forbidden to put our own up.

After living in the place for 18 months, including an over 20% price rise (which I managed to haggle down slightly), we moved out, leaving the place in roughly the same condition. Londonwide have tried every trick in the book to try and get out of paying back any of our deposit, including having the nerve to criticise how dirty the place was when we left it. Well, it was a damn sight cleaner than when we moved in.

Please PLEASE for the sake of your sanity, don\'t use them.

Dear Mr disgruntled, we are sorry to hear of your terrible experience. As you know all tenants are issued with an inventory which is done by an independent company. This is then checked when the property is vacated and a check out report is done. We then forward this to the landlord and liaise with him to find a solution and try to be as fair as possible when making any deductions. Any rent increases are requested by the landlord but we do not remember of any case ever where a landlord has asked for a 20% increase. We take complaints very seriously and always ready to help.
