Hi, I've been asking Ellmans Property management in Hove, Church Road for months to when they are going to fix the outside of my block. It's in terrible shape around the back of Somerhill Lodge, Hove, where water is getting into my kitchen through the outer wood frame and running down from the top of the window on the inside. The flat has only just been fully repainted to the very highest of standards. There is a perfectly good slush fund and I'm the flat owner occupier.
Secondly and more importantly there's a bad leak coming through my ceiling from the empty flat above mine at number 17. I noticed it late Friday afternoon three days ago. The Agents have an emergency number with an answer machine only so you cannot contact them directly! The water leak has moved down my bedroom wall and across my bedroom ceiling and onto the communal ceiling in the hallway, so is a risk the block electrics will blow.
I've received an Email back from Abbie handling the block and she said she's not taking calls and I've been waiting to get an Emergency locksmith to get into the flat which must be flooded.
This Agent offers an extremely poor service, the woodwork outside the building is progressively disintegrating.
I would rate this managing agent as having no stars, just think there's no way to contact them after four days and the woodwork in my top cupboards is buckling!! Water is running down the walls!!!

Hi there, we paid Ellmans £9,918.29 in Feb 2021 this year, alongside payments every month of each year (we have been here for 20 years now) of £92 per month, and just over £230 every 6 months, we repeatedly asked where was the reserve fund for this though - to pay it this way - Ellmans said there wasn't a reserve fund they hadn't wanted to increase our maintenance payments as they thought we wouldn't like this. they wanted just under 10K from every flat in our block to pay for maintenance an ...
