Country Properties both sold our house and let our house for us in the time we owned it. So I will comment on both.
In terms of selling our house- they were brilliant. Seriously 5*. Secured lots of viewings, helped us negotiate and supported through selling in a tough and volatile market. They were especially good during the conveyancing process (props to Rebecca Hedger here). Always very responsive and helped us complete in 9 weeks, versus an anticipated timeline of 12-14 weeks.
In terms of letting the property I would say the service was more average. We felt that actually they served as more of a middle man- relaying messages from our tenant about things that had broken and then suggesting an expensive contractor visit, diagnose it and fix. This was an issue when it was for things as simple as 'the fuse box tripped once, shall we send an electrician'? It felt like the expertise and guidance was missing here that we were paying for and it made trusting recommendations hard at points.
