Keen, eager and fortunate to have cash in hand to buy. First viewing after arriving dead on time we found ourselves asked to wait. Ok, 15 minutes later the previous viewers come out to walk past us. Viewing was fine if somewhat disengaged but ok, Covid times. Checked 30 mins later when home and property was off market. Mentioned mild feeling of use as sales tactic when calling to arrange an alternative viewing to be told it wasn't and who did I think they were 'insert name' estate agents? I'll leave that there for your own thoughts. Second property viewing. Vendor unexpectedly showed us around with no explanation then or by agent later. Wonderfully suitable property and keen to place offer to open negotiations when phoned on arriving home. Offer was too low. Ok. Told while on phone that full price twice previously offered but fell through. Expressed keen interest, with intention to go passed my comfort zone and confirmed that I would be kept in the loop by them calling me if higher offer while I discussed our offer price with my Wife. Chanced upon the next day an unexpected very formal, documented email declining our original offer. No further communication from them, then saw house stc on Rightmove.
Sincerely, as my Wife expressed, without understanding, am left feeling my money isn't good enough for them as they seemed disinclined to fully engage in person or by phone. Leaves us a feeling of desire that the next possible property would be with another agent, any as unknown, so that I don't have to uncomfortably now interact with them. Shame as I have no desire for bias on my part, just want to feel worthy by feeling valued as a customer!

We are truly sorry you have had this most unfortunate experience.
You are right to identify the current tenant as being responsible for not vacating as planned and many people have been put out by their lack of communication and their disregard for others.
