At the end of my lease, Susan attempted to force me to pay an additional fee instead of returning, to me, the amount of my deposit that I was due.

She attempted this by sending me a long, demeaning email, including a theatrical description of her “disappointment” and the excessive amount that I was being requested to pay for the flat being supposedly such an abominable mess.

I suspect she may have done this because I gave my notice after having only lived in the property for six months. I believe she saw me as vulnerable and felt able to put on this whole performance because I am a woman who lived alone.

The tone with which I was addressed was designed to bully and shame me into believing made up nonsense, and giving Allied Homes more money - money to which Allied Homes was never entitled.

I eventually received 10 percent of the deposit back.

My advice to anyone renting from allied homes is beware of this toxic, ruthless behaviour. Susan has no concern for your wellbeing after you stop renting.

Michelle was sound.

This young woman was presented with a flat that was newly decorated and when she left she did not clean it and left food etc in the cupboards and personal items and a mattress for someone else to clean/remove.Moreover there were stains on the walls too.The oven was very dirty and the windows had not been cleaned .We negotiated all of this with her and she took ages replying to our messages in general and nearly 6 month after resolving this and her having left the flat she has somehow decided to revisit it and disparage me in the process.
The deposit protection company held the deposit and had she had any grounds to dispute this she could have.We were disappointed after only 6 months at how it was left and there was no bullying implied in the emails sent to her and it is drawn to the tenants attention when they give notice that they should leave the property as it was presented to them so they know what is expected of them fair wear and tear notwithstanding. It is often the case that the tenant shoots the messenger in these situations despite being happy during their tenancy with the agency.

Hi everyone, If you'd like to read a genuine review from a previous tenant please read my 1 star review below. Please note that Lesley has supposedly been working with them as a Landlord so I would invite all prospective tenants to read my review. This review just comes across as damage control to be honest. The reviewer, Lesley, has even commented on my review- stating that she felt forced to leave a positive review in response to my negative review. If Allied Homes really are so wildly amazi ...

When I moved into my flat it was absolutely putrid. Certain parts of it hadn't seemed to be cleaned in years! For example- the air vent in the kitchen was actually sealed over with a thick brown tar which was even running down the pull ...

Hi All, this is my response to the comment from Lesley; Hi Lesley, Thank you for posting your extremely suspicious response. The fact that you seem personally attacked and extremely emotional over the fact that I have left Allied Homes/ Susan a terrible review strongly implies that you have close personal ties with the aforementioned. I find it hard to believe that you are nothing more than a satisfied client of theirs. If I saw a bad review of a company that I had received good service from, ...
