Ryder and Dutton do what any agent would do. We are still in the process of our sale and are also using the solicitor they recommended. Several points - firstly we have not really been updated regularly and the solicitors claim that the process can be monitored online is incorrect as this facility does not exist. Secondly our property guarantees and work certificates were not passed by them to the solicitor causing needless delays - also on that note the solicitor wrote a letter to us asking for these documents even though we had clearly stated they were with the agents. We havent heard anything from Ryder and Dutton since agreeing the sale six weeks ago and done lots of running around, made lots of phone calls chasing documents and sent numerous emails. Do I believe estate agents earn their fee - no but then they fulfill a necessary role.

Thanks for your feedback. We always take this very seriously and I have looked at your file and also others in the chain.

After achieving a sale on your property so quickly we can see that there has been a good level of contact with you both with regard to your sale and your purchase since they were agreed in early August.

With regards to the guarantees and certificates we see that when these documents wererequested by your solicitor late on a Friday afternoon and that the paperwork was hand delivered to your solicitor at the start of the following week so there was very little delay at all.

There is a facility in place where you can track your conveyancing online and if this has not been explianed satisfactorily we are sorry. If you would like to contact the office they will be able to provide you with your log in details.

We hope that we will be able to conclude both your sale and purchase in a swift and professional manner.

We have had an excellent service from Ryder & Dutton. David came and reviewed the property prior to us deciding. He talked sense, made no false promises and, based on the research we had done ourselves, encouraged us to set a realistic price rather than too high or too low – which seemed to be the tactic of the other estate agents we met with. Geraldine has since been our main point of contact – she has been nothing but professional and has followed everything up. Our property has been marketed effectively – we received several interested viewings early on and had two offers. She has been very proactive throughout proceedings and has communicated with us regularly. She is pleasant, intelligent and conscientious. When she hasn’t been in the office, she has handed over to another colleague, Kirsty, who has also been efficient. When the office is closed, a central call centre is in operation and the staff are all well-briefed, operating from a central database. Although our sale hasn’t yet completed, we are happy with the service we have received to date and would very much recommend Ryder & Dutton.

Fingers crossed the sale goes through!!!!
