To all looking to rent in the Sevenoaks area do NOT rent through Helen Breeze if it can be helped. My then girlfriend and I occupied a one bedroom flat at (20 Clarendon Road TN13 1EU) in November 2016 and vacated last week. Since the moment we walked in it was a nightmare. It was a one-bedroom flat which was part of a communal block of multiple flats. When we arrived, we looked high and low for an intercom which we assumed would be present in the flat as standard however to our surprise we where informed that the flat did not have an intercom system and the landlord was not prepared to have one fitted… as I'm sure you can imagine we missed multiple deliveries which caused a huge amount of inconvenience. We are currently going through the process of having the deep clean completed and going through the checkout report. Where do I start with the checkout report.. Firstly, the management team at Helen Breeze have accused us of screwing multiple hooks onto the backs of doors and having a 4/5 foot cabinet installed on the wall of the property all of which was present at the flat prior to us becoming occupants. They then go on to blame a water leak at the boiler onto us even though they had sent a gas and boiler engineer round only the week before who had not noticed anything wrong with the boiler. The way Helen Breeze have treated us is completely unacceptable. Having never given them any issues with payment or as tenants on the whole. Just to give you an insight as to what you can expect by using Helen Breeze please see the below email we kindly received yesterday evening. Having rented a number of properties throughout my time I have never had such an unpleasant experience and would highly advise individuals against using Helen Breeze.

"Dear Lewis and Keziah
Please find attached the check-out report from today's check out. There are several items listed that I need to notify you will lead to deductions from the deposit. The landlord wishes to inspect the property also.
I am very concerned that the leak from the cupboard in the hall has not been reported and has been left to ruin the flooring and the wooden boxing. Can I please ask why this was not reported. Cleaning was not to a good standard. I note from your previous email you were arranging for cleaners to go in and Kezia has informed the inventory clerk you have a receipt which we need as proof. As you have instructed an alternative cleaning company, you will need to arrange for the cleaners to return and attend to the areas noted. They will need to contact us for access and please note this will incur a further charge of £40.00 per hour for our time to attend the property as we do not allow contractors that we have not worked with to access vacant properties.
There are several areas in the property that have damage and several holes have been put into doors without consent from the Landlord. I also note that a cabinet has been left on the wall and we will need to arrange for removal and disposal of this and for making good the wall.
Please have a read through the report as it outlines anything that is different to the inventory and who is responsible for what. Anything that has RTL is items we refer to the Landlord anything marked tenant is what we will be looking to put right. The Landlord has asked me to have someone change the locks on the front door as not only is it very stiff to lock (and these were replaced by you some time back) there is also damage around the door. I understand from a colleague you had to force the lock a while back as you lost keys is that correct? as the locking mechanism is clearly damaged.
