There was a box of half eaten McNuggets on my windowsill when i moved in, along with loads of food wrappers and bags full of rubbish which obviously should have been removed before giving tenants a viewing. They also ignored my request for a new lightbulb as the one in my room was smashed and didn't work, and haven't responded about the leaking pipes in the bathroom. The door to the back garden has a gate directly in front of it which is permanently locked so I am not allowed full access to my own property that I am paying for. My flatmate also tells me the landlord comes over from his country to stay once a year, which I was not told before I moved in - all of his possessions are still in the house which makes me feel like it isn't really my home.
On the other hand, £300 a month all bills, council tax and internet included for someone who is no longer a student is an excellent price and I have one really nice flatmate. If you are not in the house often and just want somewhere to sleep more than anything, I would recommend CityRed.
The staff I have met in the office have all been nice but I am not sure how much they play a part in repairs etc.
Comment on agent fees
£150 to move in which is cheaper than competitors I looked at. £70 if I want to renew the contract at the end of the year which I feel is unnecessary
