We had been looking for a property for around a year, when we first came into contact with Symonds and Reading. In all honestly, it was not one of the Estate agents that we signed up for, for alerts, as we had not heard too much about them. But when we did, after our first viewing, they were nothing but helpful. After taking us around our 3rd property listed with them, we found the flat we had been after for so long. Angela took us around, and explained the process of what would happen, for putting an offer in, as she was aware we were first time buyers. We were contacted back on the same day to let us know the vendor had accepted our offer, and Angela then explained what was needed, for everything to go smoothly from then on in.
We had numerous calls asking how things were going, and if they could be of any assistance. In many cases Angela actually let us know what was happening, before our solicitors got in contact (as they were very slow). Which kept our minds at ease. As being FTB's, we always had so many questions and concerns.
We then had the pleasure of meeting Ian, the branch manager, because Angela was away on holiday. He took us around the flat for a final viewing, and kept in touch throughout the final stages. They both were extremely proffesional, attentive and understanding throughout the purchase.
We could not have asked anymore of them, and it helped make the stressful process, so much easier. I was unable to tag anymore people in the review, but I also have to give a mention to Steve and Connor, who were also very helpful on the phone when Angela was not in the office.
On the day of exchange, when we picked up the keys, they presented us with keys and a bottle of bubbly as a thanks for using them.
I couldn't fault the whole process, and I just apologise it took 3 months to get round to writing a review. If you are looking to buy a property, I seriously recommend signing yourself up for their alerts. And when we come to sell our place in the future, I have no doubt that we will be using Symonds and Reading to do so.
