My friend, relocating from overseas, wished to rent a property from this branch. He was assured the property would be available, instead of 6 months rent plus one month payable, 3 months rent was taken, in cash, he still has to open a bank account in this Country. Bradley promised to call back but never did, he kept promising the apartment would be available, if not today then tomorrow. My friend was given the run around for a week. In the end he found another apartment, he was promised a full refund, bank transfer to the new agent. This was done at the end of the day after an abusive meeting with Bradley. They kept the admin fee almost £400. I have asked for this back but they are refusing. My friend is very upset with the abusive aggressive treatment he has received. This has been extremely stressful experience and a shocking advertisement for letting agents. Surely this isn't normal behaviour? I feel that the agent acted illegally by taking money for an apartment, knowing it was not available and we should have a full refund.
What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent could have kept us informed of what was going on, he could have been honest. He should never have taken any money until he knew for sure the apartment was available and when.
He could have been polite.

It is the refund of fees we are disputing, Agent took them against a property knowing the property was not available.

We are a professional Estate Agents and there would be absolutely no requirement for any member of staff to be rude or aggressive to applicants or clients. In fact it was Wojtek himself who came to the office several times a day making spurious claims and threats to us instead of taking our advice and guidance.
We refunded all of Wojtek's money minus the administration fee which is non-refundable as clearly stated in the receipt which he signed.
We did not avoid his calls as there was no need to. We believe his behaviour at the time and this false statement he has made is unacceptable and we are delighted we did not rent the property to him – we have to follow the landlord's instructions and protect their best interests and we are very happy that the property went to a far superior applicant.
