The agent decides on behalf of the landlord. He is not helpful at all and does not tell the truth. Would not deal with this agency ever again

We had a very good experience purchasing a property through Melvin Jacobs. Steven was absolutely excellent throughout the entire process, he was very helpful, before, during and after the purchase, and always responded to us very quickly. He made sure that everything went smoothly and ...

2 days after viewing property they phone me saying they never heard back from me. Then pushed me to make an offer on property. When I mentioned thinking about putting in offer for x amount, they said 'no, no, no. It's got to be closer to ...

I do not believe my offer was ever forwarded onto the vendor because it was rejected straight away by the agent with the response ‘no, no, no. It’s got to be closer to the asking price.’ By law all offers should have been passed on but this all happened in same telephone conversation. There was never any mention about a lowest offer that vendor would accept. Blaming the vendor for choosing a lower offer instead of taking responsibility for not passing on an offer is not very professional. ...

Having just purchased a home through this agent we would not recommend their services to anyone. Very patronising and unprofessional in every way from start to finish. In comparing their services to that of the agent who sold our previous home Melvin Jacobs finishes as ...

We were marketing the property at offers in excess of £500,000 subject to contract, we had several offers on the property and the current purchaser had a property to sell which was not yet on the market, as opposed to a first time buyer. The executors of this estate, by whom we take our instructions, were informed of the offers and chose the first time buyer. Nevertheless, the price eventually reached £550,000 subject to contract, and the agents should be applauded by their clients and the ...

Watch out. My parents had paid a majority of their mortgage paid off; remaining roughly a 100,000 left our house is valued close to a milllion. Since they are quite old and not very good with technology and living abroad they missed a couple of payments. ...

The above was totally libellous and a pack of lies. We're it not for me the couple would have lost there home. What the Son who wrote this post does not tell you is the parents we're about to be repossessed once ( I stopped this ) and then agreed instalments with me to pay and once again defaulted in those. If it was not for me these people would have lost their home. The sons comments are ridiculous and stupid. How was I going to buy the house ? I was not instructed to sell it. The son really ...

This review is very misleading. Regarding the 'bedroom' that has been described. It is a loft room that does not confirm to building regulations. It would be against legal agency practice to market it as a bedroom. Regarding the address, Rightmove are responsible for making sure that the maps are accurate. It was pointed out to them that the road was a different road with the same name and they swiftly ammended it. Regarding these 'low offers' that are being referred to, the offer was ...

Never trust this company! They are not afraid to break the law on behalf of the landlord and LOCK THE TENANT OUT, even though the tenant never once failed to pay the rent or look after the property. They will use physical violence too!...
