an absolute shambles. I urge you not to use this company. I have lived in rented accommodation for over 10 years and have never been treated so badly by the landlord/agency. we ended up having to move out due to a huge leak damaging the structure and our health, when we returned to collect the last few items they had \'repaired\' the damage by rebuilding a wall from paper! they failed on many counts with gas safety certificates, and failed to protect our deposit for 18 months and only did so when we pointed out they were breaking the law! communication to the landlord could only be done via fax(!!) often taking weeks to resolve important issues like smashed front windows, and burst pipes - but when he wanted money out of the deposit at the end - he made himself easily available. to top it off the staff are rude and never call back.

currently in dispute over the deposit with them as they are trying to claw back money from a flat we had no choice but to leave for fear it would fall down.

easily the worst in town....should\'ve guessed from day 1 when they greedily rubbed their hands together when taking our money.

complete cowboys - steer clear!

I BEG YOU NOT TO RENT ANYTHING WITH PROPERTY MOVES IF YOU WISH TO LIVE IN PEACE!
My partner and I rented a flat with them and lived there for more than 2 years.
How to start:
a) the flat was very dirty on arrival, in very poor general condition ( bath cover broken, etc..); despite we called and told them, in not receiving any answer we ended up doing the cleaning ourselves and repairing the many small problems of the flat at our own cost ( problems caused by using the cheapest materials and refrurbishments in rented flats so that the tenants will pay for the reparations that obviously low cost materials and reparations will incurr.
b) They increased the rent in three different occasions by a sum of 200 pounds in less than a year, being the first time 3 months after we moved.
c) a window ( rotten in the inside but nicely painted on the outside) broke, garden fences ( also rotten) came down), leak in toilet, etc... but property moves would not send anyone to the flat to even check! after months calling and receiving no answers, we had an argument with them on the phone. A guy came, checked the window and a month after property moved told us hte reparation was to expensive and landlord awas unwilling to pay??!!!
we obviously decided to move out of the flat.
NOW they keep the diposit: 300 for cleaning the flat ( really?) we cleaned the flat and the inspection report says the flat was clean but property moves decides to remove 300 pounds from diposit for cleaning!! they will not reimburse the costs of the reparations we did as 'these were not agreed' ( were we meant to live in those conditions?) and removed 500 pounds from deposit for mould in a toilet with no ventilation!!! ( the inspection report says those are landlord costs...)
finally, the incompetency of property moves agents goes furhter than only not bothering to reply calls or emails.
they sent us the check witht eh rest of the deposit to Woodingdean when we moved to Lewes...

they are RUDE, play with the boundaries of what is legal and not in order to take the money of honest people, they are CARELESS, INCOMPETENT and ... the worst: tehy don't care

COMPLAINTS
Property Moves complaints procedure

We are committed to providing a professional service to all our clients and customers. When something goes wrong, we need you to tell us about it. This will help us to improve our standards.

If you have a complaint, please put it in writing, including as much detail as possible. We will then respond in line with the timeframes set out below (if you feel we have not sought to address your complaints within eight weeks, you may be able to refer your complaint to the Property Ombudsman to consider without our final viewpoint on the matter).

WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?
We will send you a letter acknowledging receipt of you complaint within three working days of receiving it, enclosing a copy of this procedure.
We will then investigate your complaint. This will normally be dealt with by the office manager who will review your file and speak to the member of staff who dealt with you. A formal written outcome of our investigation will be sent to you within 15 working days of sending the acknowledgement letter.
If, at this stage, you are still not satisfied, you should contact us again and we will arrange for a separate review to take place by a senior member of staff.
We will write to you within 15 working days of receiving your request for a review, confirming our final viewpoint on the matter.
If you remain dissatisfied, you can then contact The Property Ombudsman to request an independent review:
