So it appears the motto: "People matter at Property Moves" is grossly untrue unless of course if this refers to the immoral staff as it certainly does not refer to tenants or potential clients.
I myself have been a tenant and have experienced possibly the worst renting experience of my life. Unsolicited visit from staff without notice or prior arrangement to carry our "inspections", damp, lengthy wait times for things to be fixed, only to be replaced with cheap, inferior products of poor quality, poor and inconsistent communication and finally, upon leaving the property and accessing the companies recommended by Property Moves (who also happen to be family members) appears that even if you follow the rules as set out by them, you will still not be entitled to a fair and reasonable deposit return.
I have had multiple and ongoing email exchanges with staff and the MD who are unsympathetic and really do not care about anything other than retaining unsuspecting, law abiding tenants who keep the property in good order.
My advice to anyone considering this company is DO NOT. The rentals are grossly overpriced (mine, upon exiting was increased by £50pcm) The staff are genuinely unhelpful, you may experience people entering your property without permission and you can bet that the service will be poor and they will charge you for anything and everything humanly possible.
A further concern is that Data protection requests are denied despite the law allowing clients to see the information held about them, this company does not comply.
If there is a lower mark I could give to this agency, ~I would do so.
All of the information here is factual and I have email evidence of all of these points.
I am just very disappointed to be writing this review as I have also prided myself on celebrating the positive experience. Sadly this cannot be said for Property Moves.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review, I am sorry you were disappointed in the level of service provided, I will deal with your points in order:
You refer to an unsolicited visit from a member staff to carry out an inspection, as explained at the time we had a computer fault where emails did not get sent out and only after the event did we realise they were sitting in the outbox. Our property inspector only works part time and no other staff member would have reason to access his email hence this was not discovered. Please let me assure you again, this was a genuine problem and despite repeated apologies from staff members you refused to accept this. I would like people reading this review to bear in mind that 3 previous visits were made over the course of your tenancy with the appropriate notice.
With regards to your deposit return, we employ an independent third party to carry out our inventories and checkout reports to ensure there is no bias towards landlord or tenant. You did have the property cleaned prior to vacating and the reason we recommend you use our cleaning contractors is that if anything is picked up on the checkout we can recall them at no extra cost to yourself, however on this occasion you did not advise us that you used our contractor despite being advised of a deduction soon after the checkout, this only came to light further into negotiations when it was too late (One colleague did know you had used our cleaner but unfortunately she has no involvement in deposit returns).
One thing you fail to mention with regards to the deposit return is that we negotiated with the landlord to waive some of the deductions they were making (Just to advise the final decision on what is deducted is by the landlord not us as agents), personally I don't think this sounds like something an unsympathetic company would do? We pride ourselves on treating everyone fairly but on this occasion even though items were picked up on the checkout report for some reason you felt that no deductions should be made.
I have to also disagree with your point about the flats we have to rent being grossly overpriced, as people reading this will not have seen the flat you resided in I will describe it. The flat is a one bedroom situated just off of Hove seafront with a short walk to Hove station, its not huge but it has a modern kitchen and bathroom, one of its best features though it has a garden. Kate paid £725pcm for the 16 months she was there, the rent got increased to £775pcm when the new tenants moved in during August, anyone that has looked to rent in the Brighton and Hove area knows that this represents good value as there aren't many one bedroom garden flats in good order under £800pcm. I would also like to point out that the landlord allowed Kate to have a dog at the property which many landlords will not, this was negotiated on Kate's behalf by us when she initially viewed the property.
In respect of your request for information held, we are fully compliant under the Data Protection Laws and after seeking further advice we were under no obligation to forward on correspondence between Property Moves and the landlord.
I am disappointed you gave us such a low score but everyone is entitled to their view, we aren't perfect but I think you are mainly basing your mark on the deposit return and where any deduction made would have left you dissatisfied.
Thank you once again for posting your review and we wish you all the best for the future.
Regards
