When I handed my flat over to Fineholm, everything went well with the tenant who stayed there for nearly 3 years. When the tenant decided to move on I was duly notified and the property was immediately put back up for rent 2 months prior to the tenant moving out and I was charged for the marketing fees as per contract. This is where things went wrong with this company.
They agreed with the tenant to move out on a date falling on a Saturday so charged the rent up to the friday, but they don't d
I used Emoov based on some reviews read online after begrudging paying £3,000 to a high street agent to sell my property. I went for the pay upfront option and arranged the EPC through them also, just under £700 for everything including VAT.
Emoov were great from the start, helping me establish a selling price for the property which was £5,000 more than both high street agents had suggested. Before I knew it the photographer was booked in to take photos of the property and carry out the EPC
We received a valuation with Barnard Marcus and decided to go forward and put our property onto the market with them.
It was from here that I had the pleasure of meeting Frederick Abayeta in the Epsom branch before he moved to Ewell. Fred is an extremely pleasant man, and was clear from the outset that alongside fantastic skills as a mortgage adviser, he was very friendly and approachable and was willing to go the extra mile to help our family achieve buying our first property on the open market
It was an awful experience from start to finish. The actual bureaucracy of there operation I understand. They are a lettings agency in London, and there is money to be made, and quite some.
What bothers me is their lack of humanism. It is like a building full of robots out there. Everytime I needed to go there to do something I faced dread and a feeling of a rock in my stomach for how I would be treated, belittled and generally bullied this time.
When I first came to Cityrooms, the agent
I have been renting for over 12 years and the one year in a house let by concept is honestly the worst experience I've had by far. There are many things that they did (or did not) do but mainly:
- lack of responsiveness in dealing with issues. They really don't care as long as they are pocketing money. They did sort some things out but it takes them a really long time and they certainly do not communicate with you as if you matter.
- we had a list of serious issues with the house that meant we
Initially i was considering self advertising. Thankfully, i didn't. I simply had no idea of just how many ups and downs there would be in selling a property.
Not having lived in the area for a while, i knew that Chase Buchanan had a very good reputation. I asked them to view the property and provide a valuation, which they promptly did.
Nick Simpson (the Manager) and i discussed my desire to potentially self advertise and after much consideration, i decided to advertise with him. He was courteou
Phillips were not only unhelpful and unpleasant to deal with, but routinely flouted the law. Out of three winters living in this property, the boiler system failed during all of them leaving the entire building without hot water for days at a time at the coldest part of the year. There was a total lack of communication when this happened and never so much as an apology to the residents.
On one occasion when I called up to complain, I was told by a very unsympathetic, bad-mannered woman at the
We rented our flat for two years with Dexters, who are the Lettings agents for Thamesview.
We were told that the property was unfurnished, but when we moved in we found there were several large items, drawers, corner units, even old chipboard side tables etc, that had been left by the landlady. As we didn't want to be left with the landladies old furniture, we asked for written permission from Dexters that we could remove the furniture, and also had it written into the contract.

I have used the services of D&G for over 6 years, I have always used/subscribed to their highest level property management package; sadly, over the years I have seen a gradual decline in the quality of said service. Tenancy inspections not carried out, keys unattainable/missing, a general vague unawareness of the property itself and both the tenants' and my overall care needs. I no longer feel as confident as I once had done in previous years - most notably, the quality or detail of maintenance
