Everyone charges a fee. Sometimes it could be inconvenient for a student. But it becomes worse if there random charges there on and no assistance is provided during the tenancy. Tomlinson Estate Management did have a sign up fee but they deserve that as they solved every issue during our tenancy instantly without ripping off absurd charges.

What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent should make more of an effort to be helpful and friendly in correspondence with their tenants. They should not make dishonest claims, hide evidence and refuse to cooperate with negotiations.
