Viewed the property and informed Sian that we wanted to rent it . She stated that there was another viewing after us and that if that couple wanted the house, both sets of our details would be passed onto the landlord for them to decide. Sian later informed us that the other couple also wanted to rent the house and took down our occupations, no. of dependants and location of work to give to the landlord. The next day she told us that the landlords had chosen the other couple. When I asked why, she stated that the other couple had sent a 'nice' email to the letting agency to forward to the landlord and that was what had 'swung it' for them. We found this absolutely shocking as well as unfair. She later told us that the other couple had been willing to pay more but found this strange as surely she would have come back to us in the first instance and asked us if we were also willing to pay more? We can't help but feel there was something underhand carried out by Sian and/or the landlords in this case. We were the first to register our interest in the property and were not given a fair chance to be chosen. We would never use the letting agency again.

If they had given us a fair chance to rent the property. They assisted the other couple in forwarding their email to the landlords and did not ask us if we wanted to pay more despite knowing the other couple had offered to.Attached Filesnbsp;

Hi Lauren,
We are sorry you feel this way however please see below explanations;
1) License to rent property - This was a new regulation that came in to place and after speaking to the council they admitted their fault as they had not made us aware of this. This was rectified and the license was not needed in the end.
2) A section 21 was served as the landlord has withdrawn the property, no explanation is needed for the notice of a section 21 and this was served prior to the end of your tena ...
