NOPS have to be one of the most unprofessionally run businesses I have ever encountered. Within a week of moving into our property at the beginning of August, we realised that the oven was broken. It took 2 MONTHS for this to be replaced. We also reported a few other smaller maintenance issues which to the date of this posting still haven't been followed up, despite tenants following up. It's always promised that someone will be out to look at it soon but it never happens.
The lighting in our place uses special lightglobes which we are not able to purchase from local shops and have both recently blown upstairs. I reported this on Monday morning (7am) as a relatively urgent maintenance issue as it left us with no lighting in the kitchen & lounge room. I called again on Tuesday and Wednesday before finally having someone return my call. Was told someone would come out to fix it on Thursday. Arrived home from work Thurs PM to find that lo and behold the lights had not been fixed. Emailed and called again twice on Friday to follow up and am still waiting for a response from someone at the agency. This has meant a week of sitting in the darkness each evening and have been unable to use the kitchen as it's too dangerous without full lighting.
It wouldn't be so much of an issue if anyone of their staff managed to understand that customer service is an integral part of their job but none of them do. Calls and emails are simply not returned and when you do finally hear from someone, they don't seem to have any appreciation for the situation or inconvenience that they have caused. Would highly avoid renting through someone (anyone) else in Oxford.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Actually returned emails or phone calls and completed maintenance work in a reasonable time frame.
