I am not only disappointed but very surprised by the comments of this vendor. The property was on the market previously with a number of estate agents who failed to find a suitable purchaser, we were then approached to market this property alongside other agents, where upon we found a buyer who had already agreed a sale on their property and needed to find a property with no ongoing chain. Having made an offer on this basis that the vendors of the above would vacate this was not only agreed via ourselves but agreed directly with buyer and seller. The seller informed us that there would be no ongoing chain, however the seller did manage to find a suitable property to purchase and proceeded to try and tie their sale into their purchase. The buyer in question had to meet a deadline on exchange and completion on their own sale. Once they were in a position to exchange contracts the vendor was not quite ready on their ongoing purchase and delayed the exchange where upon the buyer informed ourselves that they would withdraw from the sale and would go into rented themselves and started to look at rental properties. As a professional we needed to make our client aware of this as the offer had been accepted on this basis in the first instance.
