Me and my partner fell in love with a property advertised as ideal for first time buyers. The big back garden won us over, we viewed the property on Friday. Later that day we spoke to Andrew and put an offer in. Andrew said he would 'get back to us'. By Monday we'd heard nothing so I called him, he said he'd call back Tuesday. On Tuesday he rang back to say that the offer had been rejected. Later that day I rang back to put in another offer. He said he would 'get back to us'. By Thursday I'd heard nothing again! So I called him. He said that the vendor wanted the weekend to think about it and promised to ring me Monday early doors. Monday arrived no call, I rang him to see what was going on. He explained that another couple had put the same offer in and what would be our maximum price. I told him our maximum price and explained our circumstances (first time buyer etc) AGAIN. Tuesday lunchtime Andrew calls 'they have decided to go with the other offer'. The accepted offer was less that ours!!!! A complete lack of communication from Andrew, we were completely stringed along. He was constantly pushing our offer up and in the end that didn't matter. It would be polite and courteous to be kept in the loop when trying to buy a house. If you say you are going to call then call! A very disappointing service from Bennett Kaye. By the way Andrew is a director!
What agent could do to change your mind?
If they promise to call then they should, whatever the news. Its not like I was buying a second hand sofa, it's a house we are talking about, the most important thing a person could buy!Attached Filesnbsp;

I had a very similar situation with Bennett and Kaye' its seems to me there more bothered about building up there rental portfolio than actually selling houses.
