I cannot begin to describe just how bad this company are.
To begin with they failed to make clear that they do not do property inspections (it's hidden in the small print but according to ARLA they need to make this clear). When referencing tenants did financial reference only ¢â‚¬â€œ no behavioural references. They do nothing that can be considered management for this management fee ¢â‚¬â€œ we had to tell them everytime that rent wasn't received.
As a result we received tenant who did a huge amount of damage to the property. Six months since they left we are still no closer to getting their deposit or additional costs for the rest of the damage due to the complete lack of interest from the company.
They have a variety of regional lettings agents but fail to tell you everything is dealt with centrally ( say dealt with ¢â‚¬â€œ I mean you have to ring a central office ¢â‚¬â€œ they never actually do anything). You can never get hold of anyone, they promise to call you back but never do. They've never provided any proof of doing anything to resolve the issue despite me asking them since January to provide me with details of communication with tenants ¢â‚¬â€œ it's incredible that they have not been shut down.
All I can say is avoid this company at all costs ¢â‚¬â€œ you will lose money and countless hours of your life trying to do their job for them. I'm about to begin county court action against them after giving up hope of ever getting a response

The experience was that bad that I can only say they need to begin from scratch ..... incompetent, rude and lazy at every step of the wayAttached Filesnbsp;

Countrywide have never inspected property (they charge £80 !) ; Never sorted out utilities & council tax arrangements ; Expected me to do Inventory checkout for property ! Then when they finally received rent arrears from tenant kept every penny as fees/charges for admin, inventory, tenancy agreements, etc even though they didnt action anything or agreed/signed anything at my (landlord) authorisation ! We have had a very similar experience, it took them a full month to fix two leaks in our kitchen from a waste pipe onto our fridge and washing machine. They are charging us for unpayed rent, however this rent was payed. Thistia due to countrywide not noting the new tenants details despite him signing all paperwork etc. And giving them countless reminders that the payment was now from a different persons account. We are very disappointed and angry. We feel like we are constantly needing to do the job for them.

Comment on agent fees
The only part I have been dissatisfied with are the fees which I believe to be extortionate. I have never paid such high fees and even had them reduced slightly after complaining. They are by far the highest fees I have ever paid or heard of.
