My wife and I recently bought a property with the assistance of Cameron Stephen & Co. The service we received was absolutely first-rate.
Once we decided to buy a property, and having contacted several legal firms in Edinburgh, we selected Cameron Stephen because of their excellent reputation and competitive pricing. Over the following 18 months, we viewed dozens of properties, routinely asking Jayne McAllister or Fiona White to register a note of interest, who did so willingly while providing expert advice on realistic offer amounts based on the relative buoyancy of the local market.
Having missed out on a handful of places, the team at Cameron Stephen never lost patience with us and we eventually had an offer accepted. Fiona Duff, whose diligence and thoroughness were remarkable, then handled the legal conveyancing.
Our new home is a basement flat in a Grade B-listed building, which presented more than a few challenges to the buying procedure. Without going into too many specifics, Fiona's solution-focused approach overcame each impediment one hurdle at a time. Had it not been for this level of calm professionalism, the sale could have easily fallen through.
Fiona kept my wife and I updated regularly, always taking the time to carefully outline our options when a decision was required. Her attention to detail gave us great confidence that the purchase of our new home was done correctly.
