This is a link to a page on the Fineholm site, aimed at tenants moving out from one of their properties:
Note the phrase \'we will try to make it as smooth as possible\'. Really Fineholm? Then why do you charge for written references? A hefty fee too of over £20 each. That\'s making it quite the opposite of smooth. Sure, they will tell you that they don\'t charge for a reference over the phone, but how many agencies will call a referee without the reference there on front of them on letterheaded paper? Very few, if any at all. It\'s criminal that they charge for opening a template on their computer, changing the tenant\'s name, and printing it out on a piece of paper. I\'ve spoken to other agencies about this in the last week and some of them seem genuinely shocked at Fineholms behaviour on this matter.
I\'ve searched their website, and although they shout loud and proud about not charging new tenants fees (something they DID charge last year, but that\'s a story for another rant), I couldn\'t find anything about how they charge current tenants, who have been paying rent, on time, for quite some time too, for a simple reference. Sort yourselves out Fineholm.
What agent could do to change your mind?
If they granted us our references, without these silly, exploiting charges, then I would remove this review
