Hello we rented off Spectrum Properties it was the worst mistake we ever did.
We have had so many problems with them in just a short period of time.
First there was water coming from the ceiling in the bathroom and kitchen and then there was water coming from the bedroom tried to call the office several time no answer we go outside to find the caretaker and found him the only problem was he didnt speak a word of English it was an absolute joke after trying to translate for nearly an hour he rings someone else to come and fix it. Three days this painter turns up and paints over the wet roof and cornices surprise surprise a few weeks later mold starts to come through the paintwork we notified spectrum properties they replied they would send someone out to look at it. 2 months later after complaining they send out someone to take a look he said he is sending a painter out in a month or so anyway so he will just paint over it as if that is going to fix the problem. Now we have mice problems we let them know they did nothing about it they said they sent pest control but i guess he forgot what flat we lived in because he never turned up. Then 4 days ago our toilet stopped working we tried ringing once again know answer we try to ring the emergency number but it doesn't work so we are all weekend without toilet and then first thing Monday we call them and Sharon says oh ill have to get back to you. Later that day we ring again Sharon replies we are still waiting to hear back from the plumber. We were already annoyed that we had to wait all day for a response then we rang them just before 5 and Sharon says the letting manager would be out there tomorrow at 11. The letting manager turns up after 12 fixes it and then said it isn't there job to drive 40 mins to come and have a look at the problem and i am thinking that is exactly your job. Now they are trying to charge us to come and have a look they are so hypercritical they put in the contract we are not allowed to fix anything ourselves and then charge us to come and have a look at the problem.
I would stay as far away as possible.
What agent could do to change your mind?
They need to get better people management skills.
Instead of trying to rob your tenants and adding stupid fees maybe tenants would consider extending their leases.
Get an office closer to the flats how can you have 34 flats in greenock and your office is over 40 minutes away.
