I am a tenant who is currently sub letting his apartment. Whilst I was living there the owner of the block changed the management from a local company (who did a very professional job) to Solitaire - a decision in which the tenants obviously have no say and one which I assume was made by the owner because Solitaire offered a lower charge. The property is in Hove and Solitaire are based in Southampton which clearly does not help. I agree with all the comments made. Solitaire are a completely inept organisation. I currently live in New York and they have a system called \"311\" where tenants can anonymously report a problem to the State of New York about a management company - if they receive enough calls about a particular company they will instigate legal proceedings at once. This system ensures that problems are dealt with and these companies are kept on their toes. It\'s a pity that such a system does not exist in the UK.
