I initially met David from the Broadwater Branch when we had a valuation for my late fathers house (probate). We had two valuations that day and the difference in experience was extremely noticeable. David was non-smarmy and knew what he was talking about - but not to the point where he seemed at all pushy.
A good few months later, my late-fathers house was marketed... with Bacon & Co, as I’d hoped. Scott came to look around the house to gather information, but also made sure that he sat down for a chat with us. He was sensitive to the situation and made us feel like he had all the time in the world to speak with us (mostly about dogs!!).
The entire team worked really hard to sell the house. They gave adequate notice for house viewings and were always friendly when booking in.
Scott was great at keeping all parties updated throughout the process and even when our circumstances changed & we decided we would tie in our own purchase (rather than rent for a bit), Scott managed the chain very well. Because there was that level of trust, I felt comfortable to update Scott with my own purchase (which unfortunately was not via Bacon). The transparency, I am sure, helped to keep the chain on-board. We all managed to get through Covid-19 without any major issues or the chain collapsing. I truly feel this is down the the communication and professionalism from Scott and the team.
When we exchanged contracts, I received a generic email from my purchasing agent to confirm the exchange - which was not even addressed with my name on (and on behalf of the agent dealing with us). This was a total contrast to Scott’s email, which had congratulations in capital letters and seemed very genuine and thoughtful. Again, this made me feel valued - and that the victory was all of ours, and that Bacon & Co were invested in not just selling the house, but also in us as humans.
They say that selling a house is one of the most stressful things in life... however despite it being a probate home and selling during Covid-19, it has felt a total breeze.
The only annoying thing throughout the process, is that Bacon&Co were not our purchasing agent!
Thank you to Scott and the team!
