I can't praise the whole team at Douglas & Simmons highly enough for their hard work and committment in selling two properties for us and helping us purchase our new home. Communication was excellent; we were always informed about viewings in a timely fashion, and had the opportunity to change viewings if we needed to. They were very understanding of the fact we have two small children, which helped considerably. Graham was excellent in shepherding us through the process of getting the property valued and marketed and worked tirelessly in negotiating with prospective buyers and in ensuring we hit our full sale price, despite a few setbacks along the way.
Guy Simmons saw us through a challenging sale of another property we owned, and I always felt whether on the phone or in person, he genuinely had our best interests at heart.
Once we accepted offers, Tessa Edwards did a wonderful job in sales progression to help move our sale forwards, working with our purchasers/vendors and the solicitors. This was a major move for us, into a new family home, and we went on quite a journey to find the right home. Trying to sell more than one property added to the stress, but the team helped take a lot of stress out of the whole process for us. I can't praise them highly enough and would most certainly recommend to anyone looking to sell or buy. Graham, Guy, Tessa and indeed all the team - everyone who showed us round properties often more than once! - did a wonderful job for us and I can't recommend them highly enough!

Some final notes on this case: even though I was satisfied with the DPS decision in my favour, I decided I wasn't happy with the way that Douglas & Simmons handled my complaint, and re-submitted the complaint to the Property Ombudsman. The Ombudsman, after reviewing the complaint, agreed with my claim for a further small sum towards unnecessary costs I incurred during tenancy due to delayed repairs (a delay of six months).
