After failing to sell our house last year through another local agent, we decided to try Nick at Mosley Jarman on the basis that they were new, refreshing and different; also because it was evident that here, unlike most other agents in Bramhall, we would get a personal ¢â‚¬Ëœhuman' service.
The high-on-quality and low-on-superfluous-detail brochure demonstrated to good effect that decent quality photography, framing and attention to detail makes a big difference. Other agents take note ¢â‚¬â€œ on what basis do you think a view of unkempt shrubbage and blown-over plastic garden chairs will help you sell a property?
In this market, we were never expecting wonders, and there were always going to be aspects of our property that did not appeal to all. After a busy start, things did go a little quiet after Easter¢â‚¬Â¦but then, a first and second viewing AND an offer in the same day! It wasn't a great one, but Nick managed to broker an agreeable deal over the bank holiday weekend despite the fact he was not supposed to be working.
During, and after, our sale (and when we were thinking about letting our house out, and when we may have needed to rent something ourselves) we found that we were constantly kept up to date with developments and given all the information we could have hoped for by Nick, Libby and Fay. If only solicitors were as communicative¢â‚¬Â¦!
One final point, during some last-minute issues during exchange of contracts (our buyers were being ¢â‚¬Ëœturned over' by their own ¢â‚¬â€œ even in this climate, some people are lower than low), Fay was constantly in touch and strived to keep our ¢â‚¬â€œ albeit small ¢â‚¬â€œ chain alive and kicking.
Would we recommend? Definitely.
Would we use again? Definitely, but hopefully not too soon. Moving house in these times is not a game for the faint-hearted, but you can be assured that if it's possible then MJ will make it happen.
